Well, it looks like the summer in London isn’t going anywhere for a while, so settle in and embrace it. Whether you’re planning on spending your weekend in the sun or searching for air conditioning, there’s plenty going on. Friday – Hyde Park installation (June 19th – September 9th)  We are expecting Friday to be the hottest day of the week, so why not spend it with some fresh air in Hyde Park while admiring the first UK outdoor artwork by 83 year old Bulgarian-born artist, Christo, titled, ‘The London Mastaba.’  Constructed using 7,506 oil barrels on a floating platform, that continues Christo’s use of barrels, a material he has used since 1958, chosen initially for its sculptural effect and low cost. The perfect weekend break in Porto

Pretty old town, with wine tasting and beautiful viewpoints.   Porto is Portugal’s second-largest city, home to 240,000 people, with the heart of the community still concentrated in the medieval old city – the Ribeira. Porto is a pleasant, small city filled with stunning architecture, a flourishing foodie scene and beautiful bridges crossing the great Douro River. The pace of life is much slower than capital Lisbon, making it feel much more a village than a metropolitan city. Even on a short visit here, you can get a really get a sense of the city, relax and enjoy an espresso along the riverfront or appreciate the culture, architecture  and stunning city landscape. Ribeira is definitely the best spot to start your journey around this attractive city. Porto has a long history behind it, and this is evident here, where intricately tiled buildings and narrow, cobbled streets are everywhere. A history of Tennis Fashion

Since 1877, Wimbledon Tennis has been one of the most recognised tennis championships, hosting hundreds of royals, celebrities, and visitors from around the world and playing a central role in the foundation of many famous tennis careers. As far back as the nineteenth century, the accepted tennis outfit for players were plain white, long-sleeved shirts and trousers for men and full-length corseted white dresses and hats for women. It was not until the 1920s and 1930s that the players, (particularly the female players), began to experiment with their clothing. Shorter skirts, shorts and sleeveless tops were all introduced, some more daring than others, to provide ease of movement and an expression of individual personality and style. While tennis style evolved to be practical and comfortable this was never at the expense of fashion. High-profile athletes like Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova found their own ways to have fun with their outfits, (think tennis dresses made of lace and even denim) and often attract as much attention for what they wear as their backhands.
